Dr. Martina Ambardjieva MD

Dr. Martina Ambardjieva is a dedicated urologist and medical educator with a rich background in both clinical practice and academic instruction. Her medical journey began at the University “Sv. Kiril i Metódij” in Skopje, where she earned her Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from 2010 to 2016. She continued her academic pursuits by enrolling in a Ph.D. program in Clinical Medicine at the Medical Faculty of the University St. Cyril and Methodius in 2021. Driven by a passion for medical education and urological research, Dr. Ambardjieva has actively contributed to the scientific community, including authoring a publication on the rare pathology of solitary fibrous tumors of the adrenal gland.

Professionally, Dr. Ambardjieva serves as a urologist at PHI University Surgical Clinic “Naum Ohridski” in Skopje, a role she began in December 2024. Prior to this, she completed her residency in urology at the University Urology Clinic Skopje from 2019 to 2024, where she performed clinical evaluations, surgical procedures, and managed complex patient treatment plans in a demanding hospital environment. Her earlier clinical experience includes her time as a general medical doctor at Sante Plus General Hospital, where she provided routine medical care and collaborated across specialties, and as a medical intern at the University of Ljubljana, gaining hands-on training in multiple disciplines.

Dr. Ambardjieva is also deeply invested in academic medicine. Since September 2023, she has worked as a teaching assistant at the Medical Faculty in Skopje, where she mentors students, supports faculty in delivering coursework, and contributes to curriculum development and academic research. Her educational involvement is complemented by leadership roles she held in the European Medical Students’ Association (EMSA), serving as Secretary General and Director for Science and Research.

She has been recognized for her clinical skill development and academic engagement, holding a Diploma and Certificate in Laparoscopic Surgery from IRCAD and the University of Strasbourg, as well as a certificate in the European Basic Laparoscopic Urological Skills (EBLUS) from the European School of Urology. Dr. Ambardjieva continues to bridge the worlds of patient care, research, and medical education, embodying a holistic approach to modern medicine.
